What are GCSEs?
GCSEs are qualifications usually studied by students aged 14–16 in England and are an important step in education, helping learners develop knowledge, skills and confidence across a range of subjects. They are recognised by employers, colleges and universities and can provide the foundation needed for further study, apprenticeships and future career opportunities. Core subjects such as English and Maths are particularly important, with many education and employment pathways requiring these qualifications.
