A successful transition into college is at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated Transition Lead works closely with you and your young person from enrolment onwards, providing guidance and support throughout their college journey. Together, we help learners build the confidence, skills and independence they need to progress into supported or independent living, community provision, volunteering, further education and training, or paid employment.
Our experienced Job Coaches help learners access meaningful work experience and volunteering opportunities that develop valuable employability skills. This may include placements with local employers or opportunities within our on-site café, where learners can gain practical experience in areas such as barista skills, customer service and money handling.
Throughout their time with us, learners also have access to dedicated Intervention Leads based across both campuses. They provide additional support to help overcome any challenges that may arise, ensuring learners can make the most of their college experience.
In the classroom, our skilled Co-Educators work alongside teaching staff to provide personalised support. Whether through one-to-one assistance or small group support, they help learners achieve their academic goals while developing their social, emotional and independent living skills.
Our varied enrichment programme offers exciting opportunities to try new activities, build confidence and develop new interests. From sailing and outdoor learning to work experience with regional employers, learners are encouraged to broaden their experiences and prepare for life beyond college.
