Thrive is a free personal development and employability support service for young people aged 16+ across Suffolk. Whether you’re looking for your first job, thinking about further education, exploring training opportunities, or simply unsure about your next steps, Thrive is here to help you build confidence, develop new skills and achieve your goals.
Our friendly Progression Coaches provide personalised support to help you identify opportunities, overcome barriers and take positive steps towards employment, education or training. We understand that everyone’s journey is different, so our support is tailored around your individual needs and ambitions.
How Thrive can support you
Our team can help you with:
- Career guidance – explore your options, understand different career pathways and find opportunities that are right for you.
- Job searching and applications – support with finding vacancies, completing applications and preparing for your next opportunity.
- CV writing and interview skills – create a strong CV and build confidence for interviews.
- Training and work experience – discover funded training, work experience and opportunities to develop new skills.
- Confidence building and mentoring – receive friendly guidance, encouragement and support to help you move forward.
- Practical advice – access guidance around areas such as benefits, housing and other support services.

Thrive is available to young people aged 16+ who live in Suffolk. Whether you know exactly what you want to do next or you need some help finding your direction, our team is here to listen, support you and help you take the next step.
Meet your Thrive Progression Coaches
Our dedicated Progression Coaches are here to provide one-to-one guidance and support throughout your journey.
You'll meet with one of our friendly Progression Coaches for an informal conversation about your interests, strengths, and future goals. Together, you'll create a personalised action plan tailored to your needs and aspirations.
We'll arrange to meet somewhere that's comfortable and convenient for you, whether that's Nucleus at East Coast College in Lowestoft, a local library, or a café. We support young people across East Suffolk and can travel to meet you closer to home.
