This practical evening course is ideal for adults looking to gain a recognised qualification in welding while developing valuable hands-on skills. Delivered in our fully equipped welding and fabrication workshop, the course provides the opportunity to build confidence and experience using industry-standard equipment.

You can choose to specialise in one of three welding processes: MIG, TIG, or MMA, gaining the knowledge and practical techniques needed to progress in the industry.

The course is delivered at our Lowestoft Campus from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Course Information


There are no requirements for our Level 1 course. You will need experience or a Level 1 qualification to apply for Level 2.


All courses have both practical and written tests that need to be completed to gain the qualification.


Progression to Level 2.


On this course, you will develop practical welding skills and gain an understanding of key welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and MMA. You will learn how to safely use welding equipment, apply industry techniques, and produce quality welds while building the confidence and knowledge needed for further study or employment in the welding and fabrication industry.
