The FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to support individuals experiencing mental health issues. This qualification addresses the growing need for mental health awareness in the workplace, where stress and anxiety are increasingly prevalent. You will gain the ability to recognise a wide range of mental health conditions and understand the support and therapy options available through professional healthcare providers.

The qualifications consist of a range of core units: learners will explore the first aid action plan for mental health, learn how to initiate supportive conversations, and understand how to signpost individuals to appropriate help. The course also covers the impact of substance misuse on mental health and strategies for managing stress effectively.

The qualification promotes the implementation of a positive mental health culture in the workplace. You will not be expected to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, but you will be trained to identify symptoms, offer reassurance, and guide individuals towards professional support. This ensures a safe and supportive environment for all employees.

The course includes both guided learning hours and total qualification time, with options for re-qualification through a shortened one-day course or full two-day training.
