Please note that students must be living in the UK to take part in this online course.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses are available for learners at all levels, from beginners to advanced. You can study at either of our college campuses or at our community venue in the centre of Great Yarmouth. Courses are available during the day or in the evening, and we are happy to discuss the different options with you to find a course that best meets your needs.

You can develop your English skills in speaking and listening, reading, and writing. These skills can be studied separately or combined together, depending on your level and learning goals.

Alongside your ESOL course, you can also gain qualifications in maths and digital skills. You will also have the opportunity to complete additional certificates in areas such as living and working in the UK and employability skills.

We will assess you to make sure you study at the correct level. Entrance onto this course is also subject to funding and residency.


You will have an assessment at end of course.


After this course you can progress on to a higher level of ESOL, GCSE, IELTS or other College courses


During your ESOL course, you will study and improve your English skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You can choose to study these skills separately or combine them together, depending on your level and learning needs. The course will help you build confidence in using English for everyday situations, work, and further study.

You can also study maths and digital skills alongside your ESOL course and gain additional qualifications. There are also opportunities to complete certificates in areas such as living and working in the UK and developing employability skills.
