This course will provide you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to develop an understanding of the sector and build confidence in your role. You will explore key areas including effective communication, equality and diversity, person-centred approaches, infection prevention and control, and safe manual handling practices. The course will help you develop the foundations needed to provide safe, respectful, and high-quality support within a professional care environment.

Course Information


You will need to complete a health declaration to ensure safe working in practical tasks.


A short observation is required for this course.


You can progress on to a Level 2 diploma in the workplace, employment or an apprenticeship.
