Please note, this course is only accepting applications from learners aged 16 - 18, as well as those up to the age of 25 who hold a current EHCP.

Our T Level in Maintenance, Installation and Repair (Mechatronic) prepares you for a career as a multi-skilled engineer, specialising in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.

You will develop knowledge of engineering and manufacturing, including materials, design processes, testing, mathematics, and commercial awareness. The mechatronics specialism covers practical skills in machinery, electronics, control systems, computing, telecommunications and systems engineering.

The course includes a minimum 315-hour industry placement, giving you valuable hands-on experience and the skills employers need.

Course Information


You will need to have achieved at least a GCSE grade 5 or above, including English and Maths.


Assessment is varied throughout the course and is designed to develop both your practical and academic knowledge. You will be assessed through advanced practical projects, fault-finding tasks, online examinations and written assignments.


You can progress through our Engineering courses before moving to an apprenticeship, university or employment.


You will study a range of units including maintenance, installation and repair, electrical machinery, electronics, control systems, computing, telecommunications and systems engineering.
