Please note, this course is only accepting applications from learners aged 16 - 18, as well as those up to the age of 25 who hold a current EHCP.
Step Into Independence is the first stage of our Independence Pathway, designed to support learners in developing the essential skills they need for everyday life, learning and personal growth.
Through a supportive and structured programme, learners build confidence and develop key skills in areas including:
Early independence and self-help skills
Communication and interaction
Personal organisation and planning
Decision-making and problem-solving
Everyday self-management and confidence
Learners are encouraged to develop their independence at a pace that suits their individual needs, with guidance and support from experienced staff in a nurturing environment.
This foundation year provides learners with the skills, confidence and experiences needed to progress to the next stage of the pathway, increasing their participation in college life, community activities and future opportunities.
You do not need any formal qualifications to apply for this course.
