This course is fully funded if you fall under one of the following categories:

  • Low income - Earning under £25,750 annually before tax (£2,083.30 monthly / £495.19 weekly)
  • UC - On universal credit and taking home £952 (single) or £1534 (joint)
  • Unemployed and seeking employment
  • Receiving ESA/JSA

This Security course is designed for individuals looking to develop the skills, knowledge, and qualifications needed to start or progress a career within the security industry. You will gain an understanding of key security principles, including protecting people and property, managing conflict, responding to incidents, and maintaining a safe environment. With practical training and industry-recognised qualifications, the course provides excellent preparation for roles such as door supervisor, CCTV operator, and other security positions.

Course Information


Basic English and Maths skills


The course is assessed via workbooks and multiple choice exams


After gaining experience in the industry, you can go on to Level 3 Close Protection


On this course, you will develop the practical skills and knowledge needed to work in the security industry. You will learn about key areas including door supervision, CCTV operations, conflict management, incident response, customer service, health and safety, and the legal responsibilities of security professionals. The course also covers topics such as mental health awareness and substance misuse, helping you build the confidence and skills required for a successful career in security.


The course is a mixture of theory and practical. The practical includes physical intervention training, practical CCTV scenario and observations
