This qualification is designed to develop the skills and knowledge of registered managers and aspiring leaders in adult social care. It supports learners in leading and managing services effectively, improving care and support, developing the workforce, and creating a clear vision for their service or organisation.

Developed with support from Skills for Care, the qualification aligns with the Leader in Adult Care apprenticeship standard. It is suitable for current adult care managers seeking career progression, as well as those who need to achieve a Level 5 vocational qualification to enhance their professional development.

Course Information


There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but learners will need to be at least 19 years of age. It is also recommended that they hold a level 3 qualification or above in a related area.

On completion of this qualification, learners can progress to senior leadership roles within adult social care, such as service manager, registered manager, or other strategic management positions. The qualification also supports continued professional development and provides a strong foundation for further study and career advancement within the health and social care sector.
