If you fall under the below categories, you are able to be fully funded for the course:

  • Low income - Earning under £25,750 annually before tax. (£2,083.30 monthly / £495.19 weekly)
  • UC - On universal credit and taking home £952 (single) or £1534 (joint)
  • Unemployed and seeking employment.
  • Receiving ESA/JSA

This qualification is designed for those who are either working in or aspiring to work in roles that involve providing information, advice, or guidance, and how to support clients in a professional and client focused manner.

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices involved in delivering effective information, advice, or guidance

Course Information


There are no specific learning requirements, however, you will need to have some experience of delivering information, advice and guidance in order to meet assessment requirements. This could have been achieved through employment, volunteering, charity or other activities.

You will require appropriate level of literacy and willingness to complete the assessment criteria.


This is a knowledge-only qualification assessed through a portfolio of evidence, covering 5 units of work that is to be completed in your own time and requires some further reading.


You may progress to many different areas and roles that offer information, advice and guidance. Alternatively, pursue further education in related fields.
