This course is designed for non-native speakers who want to improve their spoken and written English or gain a recognised qualification to demonstrate their language skills. Alongside developing your English, you will have the opportunity to improve your maths and ICT skills and achieve qualifications that are valued by employers and education providers.

As part of the programme, you can also complete awards in Business and Retail and Hospitality and Catering, helping you build practical knowledge, develop transferable skills and prepare for further study, training or employment. In addition, you will develop your understanding of key aspects of British society, giving you the confidence and knowledge to support everyday life both in and outside of college.

Studying ESOL can help you demonstrate your English language skills to prospective employers while improving your confidence in communicating in a range of real-life situations. With opportunities to refresh or develop your maths and digital skills in a supportive and welcoming environment, this practical course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and experience needed for everyday life, further learning and the workplace.

Course Information

You do not need any formal qualifications to apply for this course. Your place on the course is subject to funding and your residency status.
