Please note, this course is only accepting applications from learners aged 16 - 18, as well as those up to the age of 25 who hold a current EHCP.

Our Electrical Installation course provides the practical skills, technical knowledge and industry experience needed to progress into employment or an apprenticeship in the electrical sector.

You'll learn in our purpose-built electrical installation workshops, using the latest industry-standard tools, equipment and technologies. Through a combination of practical sessions and classroom-based learning, you'll develop the skills and confidence required to work safely and effectively within the industry. We have strong partnerships with regional employers, including companies operating in the offshore energy sector. These industry links provide valuable insights into the workplace and have helped many of our students progress into apprenticeships with employers such as Pharos Marine.

As part of your studies, you'll also have the opportunity to undertake work experience placements, giving you valuable real-world experience while building the skills and contacts that can lead to future apprenticeship and employment opportunities.

Course Information


Level 1: GCSE grade 3 or above in English and grade 4 or above in maths. Level 2: Completion of Level 1. Level 3: Completion of Level 2.


Assessment is varied throughout the course and is designed to develop both your practical skills and academic knowledge. You will be assessed through practical assessments, online tests, written assignments and fault-finding tasks.


You can progress through our Electrical courses before moving to an apprenticeship or employment. In order to progress through the courses, your attendance will need to remain above 90% and you need to have completed all mandatory elements.
