You'll learn by creating exciting real-world projects, working to professional standards and responding to live and industry-set briefs. Throughout the course, you'll build an impressive portfolio while developing skills in filming, editing, sound production, visual effects, motion graphics and digital design.
Using industry-standard software including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop, you'll produce a wide range of creative media, including:

- Radio shows and podcasts
- Documentaries
- Advertisements and promotional campaigns
- Visual effects projects and digital content
Alongside practical production skills, you'll explore the creative and technical processes behind successful media productions. You'll develop expertise in pre-production planning, project management, media theory and audience analysis, helping you understand how professional media content is planned, produced and distributed.
You'll study in professional-standard facilities, including a fully equipped Blackmagic Design HD television studio, a dedicated radio studio and a 5.1 surround sound recording and mixing studio, giving you valuable hands-on experience with the equipment and workflows used across the creative industries.
Throughout the course, you'll create a professional digital portfolio that showcases your work and prepares you for progression to university, higher-level apprenticeships or employment within the creative media sector.
To help you gain valuable industry experience, we'll support you in securing work experience opportunities and developing links with leading organisations, including the BBC, British Film Institute (BFI) and Sony, helping you build your professional network and gain an insight into careers within the creative industries.
