Please note, this course is only accepting applications from learners aged 16 - 18, as well as those up to the age of 25 who hold a current EHCP.

If you're interested in understanding why people think and behave the way they do, exploring the legal system, or investigating the causes and impact of crime, our Applied Psychology, Law and Criminology course is an excellent place to start.

This exciting programme combines academic learning with valuable practical experience, including work placement opportunities linked to your career goals. You'll develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress to higher education, apprenticeships or employment in a wide range of related sectors, including psychology, law, criminology, policing, criminal justice and the wider public services.

Course Information


Level 2: Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths. Level 3: Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths.


Assessment methods vary across our courses. Level 2 programmes are assessed entirely through coursework, while Level 3 programmes use a combination of coursework and externally examined assessments.


You can progress through our Applied Psychology, Law and Criminology courses before moving to an apprenticeship, university of employment. Sectors include psychology, law, criminology, policing, criminal justice and the wider public services.


You will study a range of units including the fundamentals of psychology, an introduction to the legal system and principles of criminology.
