Overview

Develop your creativity and technical skills with our Level 3 Fashion & Textiles course, designed for aspiring designers, makers and creative professionals. Over two years, you’ll explore the fundamentals of fashion and textile design, including garment construction, surface pattern, materials, creative concepts and visual communication. Working on practical projects and industry-style assignments, you’ll build confidence while creating a professional portfolio that showcases your individual style and technical ability.

You'll study in specialist creative studios equipped with industry-standard facilities, gain inspiration through gallery visits, guest speakers and live briefs, and have opportunities to exhibit your work in an end-of-year fashion catwalk and exhibition. The course prepares you for progression to university, apprenticeships or careers in areas such as fashion design, costume, interiors, visual merchandising, pattern cutting and textile design, giving you the skills and experience to take your next step in the creative industries.

The Textiles facilities at our Great Yarmouth Campus provide an inspiring creative environment where students can develop their design, making and production skills using specialist equipment. With dedicated spaces including sewing areas, print tables, creative studios, digital design resources and specialist textile technology, learners can explore garment construction, surface pattern, fashion design and innovative textile techniques while building a professional portfolio.
