Overview
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are designed for people whose first language is not English and who want to improve their communication skills for everyday life, work or further study. Available from beginner to advanced levels, learners develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in a supportive environment, with flexible study options including part-time daytime and evening classes, as well as a full-time programme. Courses are delivered at the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft campuses, with some classes also available in community venues.
Alongside improving English language skills, learners have the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications and develop additional skills in areas such as maths, digital skills, employability and vocational subjects. The courses also help students build confidence, understand life and work in the UK, and prepare for progression into further education, vocational training, apprenticeships or employment.
