Overview

The Automotive (Motor Vehicle) course at East Coast College is designed for students who want to build practical skills and knowledge for a career in the automotive industry. The course provides an introduction to vehicle systems, repair and maintenance, covering areas such as engine technology, tyre fitting and balancing, air conditioning systems, vehicle diagnostics and workplace skills. Students learn through a combination of classroom theory, online learning and hands-on practical sessions in fully equipped workshops with modern diagnostic equipment and an MOT test lane.

Our Great Yarmouth campus features a fully equipped automotive workshop that provides students with hands-on experience in a professional learning environment. The workshop includes industry-standard diagnostic equipment, a full MOT test lane, modern vehicle repair facilities, and hybrid and electric vehicles, enabling learners to develop practical skills in servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair while preparing for careers in the modern automotive industry.
